Today's News
Not much news to report today. I went back to work today after a very long weekend off. It was so hard to get up & get ready and it was so freakin' busy at work today. I don't know if I'll ever get my desk back to normal. Anyone who knows me knows that I can't stand clutter and disorganization. I can't think when my desk is a mess. And that is exactly what it is. The ice storm put the whole office severly behind & we're all struggling to find some relief. The holidays & vacation time put me even further behind, not to mention the economy and we kept the lobby packed all day. So, I'm exhausted after a very long day back to work.
I did manage to get Sebastian a dentist appointment scheduled today. His very first. I am a bit worried (lol) as I keep thinking about us sitting and watching an episode of Jon & Kate + 8 when the sextuplets had their first dentist appointment. All the kids did good until Alexis & she was screaming bloody murder and poor Sebastian was so upset because "that girl is crying". Hopefully, he won't remember that episode and he'll do awesome!!
I taught Sebastian what the president's name was. It is so adorable....he says, "Obamamama!" I was ROFL at him, it was too cute. But, like most kids, I couldn't get him to do it on video. :( I love moments like that.
Anyhoo, he got all dressed up for his photo session that was not to be yesterday and he was so handsome. (See the earlier post.) Some crazy lady at Wal-Mart commented about my little "girl". I was like, "Are you kidding me? Does he seriously look like a girl?" I guess his longer than average haircut & his salmon-colored tshirt did for him. But, I was proud to hear (even if it was just for my own benefit) that all the girls at work think he is a gorgeous little guy & doesn't look at all like a girl. In fact, this is hilarious, there were a few mothers standing around talking at daycare when I picked him up one day, trying to figure out what kind of man they needed to make a baby that had his beautiful blonde hair & eyes. I just laughed...my sister said that I should have told them that it was impossible because they had to start with a woman like me LOL! Go SIS!!
My last & final news for the day...I am supposed to go on a mini spa weekend with one of my good friends, Chastity. I am so excited. Just one night in Hot Springs - seaweed wraps & massages are a dream come true right now. After the day we had at work today, we can't think of anything better. Hopefully, she'll have no problems booking at the last minute.
