Insight!
Today was the most productive day I've had at work all month! Hooray!! Today was my "protected" day at work, which means that I am "protected" from the phone (no calls is AWESOME) and from walk-in clients. Normally, protected days are not so much an asset for me as I can stay pretty caught up; however, due to the bombardment of clients that we've dealt with due to the ice storm, I haven't been able to find my desk. And, again, those of you who know me, know I can't cope with disorganization. It makes me a basketcase and I can't think of anything except my messy desk. So, after a good hour this morning of organizing all my stacks & stacks of records and mail, I could finally get down to work! And work I did!! I was so proud to leave today, completely caught up. My stacks and stacks of records neatly put away, loose papers filed, everything that could be completed was. It was great to work without interuptions. And now, everything is in it's place. I am seriously obsessive about a clean workspace hahaha!! But, whatever works, right??
I can't go through a complete blog post without posting about my doll baby. He is on a crazy Alvin & the Chipmunks binge. That is the only movie the poor kid wants to watch right now AND he wants to watch it 24-7 apparently. I heard him on the monitor in the middle of the night mumbling, "I want Shipmunk movie!" He was asleep, dreaming about the chipmunks. I have to give it to him though, it is quite contagious, as I catch myself humming their tunes.
I ordered a collage of all his park pics from last year (great idea, thanks Sarah!). It came in today [it was like Christmas around here with packages from Kodak, Gymboree and Baby Gap]! He loved it so much. "Ashon at park, Ashon on fing [swing], Ashon & Daddy, Ashon! Ashon! Ashon!" as he pointed at all his pics with huge pride. He was also very proud of his new sandals from Baby Gap, which I purchased a size larger than he wears in hopes that he doesn't completely outgrow them before summer arrives. I was amazed, as always, when I went to try on these size 10 sandals at how well they fit. Now, granted, I had to tighten the straps to the last little notch, but still, they fit remarkably well to be a whole size bigger than he normally wears. He has his Daddy's crazy BIG feet and ugly little toenails. YES, you heard me right, ugly! You will never ever hear the words Sebastian & ugly in a sentence together except when discussing his toenails, that he, unfortunately, received from his father. Some are slanted, some curl out, some curl in and if not trimmed every other day, will grow into his toe. I constantly worry about ingrown nails and the ever-dreaded hangnail, but he deals! We just clip 'em and move on.
I bought him some Crayola bathtub crayons today and some little tablets that turn the water colors. He thought that was awesome. He had a beautiful mural painted on my bathtub wall and had some lovely art scattered all down the bathtub. The white walls and tub make a great canvas. We had a gorgeous shade of ocean blue in the bathtub as well. The best part was that he did not want to get out of the bathtub until he had completely cleaned his slate for all new coloring adventures tomorrow night. He scrubbed the wall clean, no trace of crayon anywhere. I was a little sad that I couldn't enjoy his art when I take my bath!!
OK bloggers, I need some direction. I'm getting bored with this blog already and need some insight into what I can do to get re-inspired. It's only February, too! That is really sad. I need some comments. Comments, Comments, Comments to help me get going. I think I just need Spring to be sprung so we can get outside and BREATHE! Maybe my ideas will blossom and I can inspire myself and someone new. I've joined a new blogger neighborhood of moms, so maybe I can get some great new ideas. I love reading Mommy Blogs.

I always love your blogs. Your so creative, I wish I was like that.
I think that it's so funny that Bastian dreams about the chipmunks. Jayden dreams about tv also, mostly Hannah Montana. Its cute listening to them dreams about things so silly.
I want to see those pics of Bastian @ the park!
Where did you get the crayola bathtub play paint? The kids would love that.
Oh, don't feel bad about his toes, my kids toes arn't that pretty either. Who's is?
