Our Morning...
I took vacation today & yesterday. We are supposed to go camping with friends this weekend and I thought I would get a jump start on washing clothes & packing & leaving my house in some sort of order. David got up with Sebastian this morning and let me sleep in...9:15am. It was wonderful. Sebastian & Daddy were sitting around eating apples when I dragged into the living room.
I looked around at my "destroyed" house wondering what happened while I was sleeping, but decided not to ask. Instead I gazed at my handsome little guy curled in my laundry basket with his snowman wankwie. I swear he's grown another inch, his hair is longer & he is even more gorgeous than he was when I put him to bed last night (if that is possible). His eyes were bright blue & sparkling, his beautiful blonde hair sweeping across his face as he jumped into my lap yelling "I wuv you Mama!" What a great morning hello.
Sebastian helped me load the washer, which is one of his very favorite chores. I'm savoring his help for as long as he's interested as I know that he will all too soon hate chores. I found a whole laundry detergent cup full of pea gravel in his pockets that he's collected from the playground at daycare. He must collect a little each day because every pair of shorts that he's worn to daycare this week & last had some pea gravel. We also found a few starbursts (his candy of choice) and some grass and a few little pocket-size toys. I'm just happy that there was no bugs or small animals in there.
In case you haven't paid attention in the past, I am deathly afraid of crickets. Ugh they are so freakin' nasty and they jump everywhere. I almost broke my neck in the landry room trying to escape one this morning. It makes David crazy for me to freak out and he yells at me "they can't %&^#'g hurt you!" I always yell back, "they jump around like they're on crack and if they jump on me - I will %&^#'g kill you in your sleep!" OMG I hate them so so bad. Why can't he just kill them without the drama & be happy to be my protector from the devil crickets?
Anyway, that's been about all the excitement from our morning. If Sebastian had some rain boots, I would take him outside and let me play in the rain. We are working on what to eat for lunch right now and I'm still washing loads & loads of laundry. I think I may take him in to the office this afternoon so I can show off how big he's grown and how very handsome he is. Fun Fun, huh?
