Don't Touch My Blanket!
I know I've mentioned on here Sebastian's addiction to blankets. He loves those really soft throw-like blankets you can buy around holidays. Well, currently he is addicted to his snowman blanket that he got in his stocking at Christmas(he calls it his wankwie). He will sleep with other blankets, but he primarily requests the snowman blanket. He must hava A blanket in order to sleep. And he doesn't share them...any of them. If it is his blanket, or was his blanket or could be his blanket in the future - hands off. You can't touch it & you most certainly can't borrow it.
Daycare if fully aware of this addiction.
However, because school is out for the summer, there are many new faces. Apparently yesterday one of the daycare helpers' daughter was sitting on the couch holding Chloe. Chloe is just over 1-month-old. Sebastian's blanket was laying on the couch, still out from naptime. Well, Mallory, not thinking a thing about it, covers her legs with the blanket. Sebastian began sobbing uncontrollably everyone was checking him to find out what was wrong - had he been hurt, fighting with kids, toy taken away?? Kristal turned to ask Mallory & there she sat with the blanket on her legs. Once the blanket was removed all was better.
I have talked & talked to Sebastian about sharing and he don't mind to share anything...toys, books, movies, clothes, shoes...but not the wankie. DON'T TOUCH THE BLANKET.
When I walked in from daycare & Kristal began telling me this story, Sebastian ran over there and pointed to Chloe and screamed "CHLOE TRIED TO STEAL MY WANKWIE!" "NO NO CHLOE THAT IS NOT YOUR WANKWIE! BAD GIRL!"

Awww....he loves his wankie :)
My son was attached to this red string when he was younger. It was really strange.
