The Spirits have Risen

I have absolutely no interesting things to post. And, yes, I can read your minds from my desktop computer..."Do you honestly think your other posts are interesting?" NOPE...I don't. I'm the only one interested in my day-to-day ramblings. Except Sarah...she's so freakin' nosey, she wants to read everyone's blogs (harharhar). I can't even get my sister to leave me any good messages...how pathetic is that. I am her older, wiser, way more cool sister and she should be worshipping the ground that I walk on. Right?

I know you're all dying to know what I did today...WELL, got up at 5:30a.m., dropped Sebastian off at daycare, went to work, went to a staff meeting, worked (yes, I actually did work today--TONS--and I'm exhausted), showed off pics of Sebastian on Facebook Mobile, went to lunch (had a burger from The Store, which is usually SO GOOD, but was not today), showed off pics of Sebastian on Facebook Mobile, drank like two 20oz Code Red Mountain Dew's, worked some more, showed off some pics of Sebastian on Facebook Mobile, picked Sebastian up from daycare, showed daycare pics of Sebastian on Facebook Mobile, went home, ate supper which David had so graciously cooked for us, gave Sebastian a bath, chatted to Sarah on MSN, put on his PJs, chatted to Sarah on MSN, put Sebastian to bed (3 times), updated Sarah's layout on Blogger after trying a multitude of times to get logged in, chatted to Sarah on MSN, now I'm writing this post...then I'll probably talk to Sarah some more then go to bed. WOW, that was an exciting day. Anyone who didn't get to see Sebastian's pics on Facebook mobile [or my blog, or Sarah's website], can see me...

Well, I'm feelin' rotten...like my little boy in his terrible two's. I guess that's what happens when you get bored. There's some kind of saying about idle hands...and handywork. [Sounds good if you leave out all the middle. BUT IT'S NOT!] I'm thinking about bailing on work early tomorrow and going with Chastity to the park with the boys. Saturday we are supposed to go to a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. At least I'll having something to post about {don't get too excited now}. We have a birthday party every weekend this month...
last Saturday (which was technically in February still)...Dyson & Kinlee
this Saturday, Shea (co-worker & friend's grandson)
next Saturday, Kanon (best friend's son)
the Saturday after next, Tyler (my nephew)
the last Saturday of the month is still up for grabs if anyone has any offers!!!

Goodnight!!

Mr. Famous

OK! Sarah sent me the link to her website [like I don't already know what that is LOL] and guess whose face was posted on the opening page...YUP! Sebastian! Hey, it may not be Baby Gap, but we're thrilled.

This is not the picture posted on her website...I have on the prior post...but I thought this one needed some well deserved recognition, too. Don't you agree??

Say "Cheese!"

Today was our photo session at Sarah Kingree's. She takes such awesome pics of him. She sent me a few previews, hopefully, she'll send some more [ahem..hint hint]. He did such a wonderful job for her today, given the fact that he did not have a nap today. He wanted to "cook supper" on the McDonald's playset. She took tons & tons - I don't know how I will ever be able to choose. Afterwards, Sebastian & Ava played together and I got to snuggle me some Kanonball. I can't believe he is going to be one this month. They all 3 had popsicles...several popsicles. We finally had to go home as it was getting close to suppertime, but we had such a great time. Sarah & I are going to have to manage our time better and get these kiddos more playdates together. We ALL had a ball. It was a great day. Of course, I can't close this post without some PICS!!! Hooray!

Well, there are tons more previews as Sarah kept sending me more & more. She is awesome...I can't say enough wonderful things about her. I have them all posted on my facebook account and you can rest assured that I will be posting the link to her website once they are up.

And here's some pics from our playtime fun with Ava & Kanon

Baby Fever

What's new with me since yesterday? Not much. Worked my tail off today and I'm so excited about a long soak in the bath (maybe with a nice drink...hmmmm). I was reading from one of my fave blogs listed on the right side of my page. She was talking about her & her daughter's huge fear of bugs. I about peed my pants. I don't really have a fear of ALL bugs or even most bugs. I do, however, have a monstrous fear of crickets. All crickets (not grasshoppers for some odd reason that I cannot explain)...especially those black ones and the Japanese crickets (that's what my Dad calls them). I call them "Devil Crickets"...they are ALL devil crickets. They are completely disgusting and jump all around like they're on crack...they give me shivers just thinkin' about 'em. Anyway, I was completely amused with the story.

In other news, Sebastian is finally getting his pics taken tomorrow. My best friend, Sarah, is the lucky photographer. I'm excited to get to snuggle on her going-to-be-one-year-old-in-eleven-days little boy (click here for some scrumptious Kanon pics). Hopefully, Sebastian, 2 & Ava, 3 will play nice--haha. She sent me some pics from a birth session yesterday that I have absolutely fell in love with. But, I always fall in love everytime she sends me newborn pics. (Or pics from any age which is younger than Sebastian.) It just so happens that every "age" is my favorite age. When he was just a sweet little angel and I just rocked him for hours and hours or when he was cooing & making new sounds, learning to become mobile or crawling all over the house & pulling himself up on furniture or toddling on unstable chubby little legs or learning new words and putting sentences together. I will always love all those stages and I never look forward to whats to come...lol, yeah I'm a liar, but I hate wishing his perfect little life away.

Splish Splash!

Playing in the tub is fun
its what I like to do.
I dunk my toys one by one
and splash my Mommy too.
Then Mommy leans in the tub
"Its time to wash your hair."
Mommy has to scrub and scrub
but I don't really care.
Getting clean is fun for me
although I fight it every time.
After all I am a boy
I kinda like my grime.

I found this poem at Scrapbook.com and thought it fit this post perfectly. Sebastian loves bathtime, he thinks he's a little fishy. Tonight we dropped in our color tablets and turned the water purple (although it looks beautiful blue in the photos). Just a short post tonight as it was back to work & school today for Sebastian & me. We are pretty tired. He's already snoozing...I can hear him snoring as I type. I think that sounds pretty good to me, too. Goodnight my faithful follower(s)...until tomorrow!!

Dirty Underwear

Multiple Opinions

Well, I have to be honest, I have not paid an ounce of attention to the whole California lady who just recently gave birth to octuplets. However, after reading an interview on MSNBC held Thursday on the Today Show (http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/29405752/?GT1=43001), I am completely appalled by the whole nightmarish tale. I absolutely consider this a form of child abuse on many grounds and furthermore, I whole heartedly disagree with the whole "a woman has the right to do what she wants with her body", especially when it affects an innocent child's life. (I have tons of opinions on the whole women's rights issues that I won't even get into.) I can't put into words how revolted I am that she has managed to be "fertilized" with these poor babies when she already had 6 that she couldn't & shouldn't (my opinion) be taking care of. (And how in the world did she manage to pay for it is the real question.) There are poor woman all over the world who would give their life for just one child and here she is with more than a dozen that will most likely end up separated in foster homes &/or worse, die from lack of adult responsibility.

I'm not saying that having muliples or even a whole classroom full of kids is wrong. It's not my personal desire to have a house full of children, because I know what my limitations are; however, for those who can & really want them and who can provide for them in every way that a child needs (and providing financially is just as important as nurturing them physically & mentally), then I say more power to you. I personally don't understand how a person can stretch their love & closeness to a dozen kids, but just because I don't understand, doesn't mean it can't be done. And, I guess I'm just selfish & narrowminded because I want to give my currently "only son" the entire world & can't imagine how I could do that with 2 or 3 more children (yes, I know it can be done; i have many friends with 3 & 4 children and my wonderful, wonderful friend is amazing and if she had a dozen kids, they would all be loved & provided for---I'm just saying that I don't think that I can).

Anyhow, I'm getting off track, as I am merely wanting to point out my opinions on this specific circumstance. I think it is wrong on muliple levels. (I didn't include all the details, but you can check out the MSNBC Today Show link [also above] & check it out for yourself.) Now, I am, also, in no way criticizing the fertility industry as it is a miraculous thing to be able to help men & women create their dreams of having children. All faults aside, I believe it's a wonderful thing. My opinions strictly adhere to this lady & her decision to abuse/manipulate the industry & bring 14 helpless children into this world who have absolutely no say in their situation. It saddens me tremendously to think about what will become of these children...what they will have to face, whether they will ever be secure, happy and enjoy all the things that this wonderful life has to offer. I'm sure everyone in the world has their own opinion about the situation, and this is merely mine. And it doesn't matter how you serve your side, I will never change mine. So, keep your hate mail to yourself.

My Reason to Blog...

Sebastian...the absolute love of my life. He is our currently only child. He is almost 3 and is as independent as they come. He loves washing his hands & swinging. He would live outside if he could. He's developing a love of thunderstorms from his Mama & Daddy. He looks adorable in flip flops. He loves talking on the phone. He has gorgeous blue eyes & dashing dimples. His favorite thing to eat is fruit or Starbursts. He sleeps with his blue snowman blanket wankwie. He loves to be tickled or chased. He loves his Mama & Daddy more than anything!
