Hooray for Fall!

Today was so beautiful! I love fall so much, it is my favorite time of year. Each year David & I try to get away for a weekend and take the scenic route to Springfield. This year we'd like to take Sebastian to Bass Pro. He would have a ball there with all those wild animals. It will be Sebastian's first road trip!

Here's a little recap on this "long" weekend's events for Sebastian and I. Friday, Mommy took off early and picked her little man up so that they could get started hangin' out. We played and played and ate and ate - it was so much fun! Mommy loves skipping out on work a few hours early to spend with her little prince. Saturday, we all went to Malden to see Sebastian in the Autumn Angels pageant. He was so cute all decked out in his new little Eton suit that we bought from Infashion Kids (http://www.infashionkids.com/). He, of course, won King in the boys ages 0-2 division. He was even shaking the hand of the little boy who won Prince. He's so sweet. We also got to bring home the 1st place ribbon in the boys Mr. Photogenic contest. Sebastian wants to send a shout out to Sarah Kingree for that title as she always manages to get the best pictures even when he doesn't want to smile.

Sunday was no fun at all as we were all sick with the stomach flu. Mommy, Daddy and Sebastian laid around all day feeling sickly; however, it only lasted for about 24 hours then we all felt better, so our weekend was no completely ruined.

Monday, Daddy had to go back to work, so Sebastian and I went to visit Aunt Kim...YAY! We helped her watch Tristin, Tyler and Therron while she cleaned the carpets (that was no fun for her). Sebastian loves spending time with his cousins. He does his best to keep up with them with but he is still just a small little boy and manages to get himself hurt everytime. Monday he climbed into the chair with Therron to see into the fish tank just a little better, then he ended up falling out into the floor on his head. Now he has a nice little bruise right above his eye...just in time for his big photo session with Ms Sarah.

You guessed it...Tuesday, we headed to the Bluff to see our favorite photographer, Sarah Kingree. We were so excited to see Sarah as this was the first time since we had seen her since we found out Kanon was on his way! Sebastian really wasn't in the mood for pictures on Tuesday, but I'm sure Sarah managed to get some good shots, especially when we broke out the BIRTHDAY CAKE. Yep, we had to do the birthday cake shot and Sebastian dug right in. Surprisingly, he didn't manage to get it all over him until we tried to get him cleaned up, then I think he just smeared it all over me. We managed to get most of it off...Sebastian that is...then we packed it up and headed home. He was exhausted and so was I. Boy, that was a long weekend. Unfortunately, I had to go back to work today and Sebastian had to go back to daycare, which was a little hard at first after such a long weekend with Mommy. There's nothing like seeing those bright blue eyes and that beautiful dimpled grin when I walk in the door! Those are the moments that make life worth living!!!!

My Reason to Blog...

Sebastian...the absolute love of my life. He is our currently only child. He is almost 3 and is as independent as they come. He loves washing his hands & swinging. He would live outside if he could. He's developing a love of thunderstorms from his Mama & Daddy. He looks adorable in flip flops. He loves talking on the phone. He has gorgeous blue eyes & dashing dimples. His favorite thing to eat is fruit or Starbursts. He sleeps with his blue snowman blanket wankwie. He loves to be tickled or chased. He loves his Mama & Daddy more than anything!
