Get to know Sebastian
Well, I have been putting this off long enough and now my little heartbreaker will be turning the big ONE! This has been the fastest year ever in my soon-to-be twenty-seven years of life. I can't put into words the joy having Sebastian has given me. He is my everything....my morning, noon and night, my moon & stars, sunshine and the air that breathes in life. His Daddy is alright, too! hehehe! Seriously, these two men in my life are my life and I have been loving every second of it.
Enough about me, Sebastian is the main attraction here! He is, of course, the most brilliant, beautiful, baby boy that my beautiful baby blues have ever come across. As I have mentioned, he will be turning the big ONE on October 24th. Daddy & I are still debating whether he's going to be walking by then. He has been practicing for a few months now and he will walk from person to person and from one piece of furniture to another; however, he is still not sure about the long journey across the entire room. He is getting a little braver each day and I expect that he will be taking off at any time (we have the camera charged and ready)...then the fun begins!
We have been making the transition into big boy foods, including whole milk...ooohhh aaahhh! We are still doing half & half in his bottles and he seems to be adjusting well to the cold whole milk thing. The boy loves mashed potatoes, pasta, green beans, rice, beans...the list goes on. Actually, I haven't seen anything that he doesn't like...oh, except real bananas. He'll just stick to the Gerber fruit for now - adios Chiquita!
Being that Sebastian is an only child and his first babysitter only kept him (and spoiled him everyday I might add), I was little unsure of the the "daycare" scene. However, we had been searching for a fulltime daycare for some time and had investigated very thoroughly when we finally decided that it was time to make the big leap and they finally had a slot available. I was so anxious the day of, as any good mother would be, and so the tears flowed...and they flowed...and they flowed. Sebastian, on the other hand, was quite excited to see all the children. He made it through the first day just fine and has loved everyday since then (09/04/07). Ms Kristal was amazed at how bright and lovable and well-adjusted he was...I, on the otherhand, was not at all surprised about that. We still miss Mrs Dena & Mr Treg and Ashleigh very, very much. We hope that you can come and visit very, very soon.

There is so much more to know about Sebastian. I hope that you will continue to to learn more about Sebastian's First Year and keep up-to-date with all the new excitement around the Johnson house. Tune in as we are counting the days to the big birthday bash!
I will leave you with some recent pics of Sebastian's First Cotton Pickin' experience (enhancements courtesy of our good friend, Sarah Kingree)...
